Second mobile phone in our "Smartphones under 100 €" test series
The CUBOT Note 7 mobile phone has to undergo our critical tests as the second test device in our "Smartphones under 100 euros" test. After the first competitor (the Ulefone Note 8P here in the test) has done astonishingly well (with expected drawbacks), I am very curious to see how the Cubot cell phone will do for around 70 euros.

As already mentioned in the first test, you have to be aware that a cell phone for 70-100 euros cannot do miracles. Anyone who buys a corresponding smartphone should know what he or she is getting into. Certainly, compromises in terms of performance, memory and especially the camera are to be expected. The first impression of the Cubot Note 7
Doesn't look like a cheap phone.
The Cubot Note 7 also includes everything you need for everyday life. From the charger to the matching protective cover.

If the rear cover is properly seated, nothing creaks. The back is made of plastic, but matt and feels valuable and also offers a very good hold. A protective film is already attached to the display. The cameras are placed in the upper left corner. According to the manufacturer, this is a Samsung S5K3L8 13MP camera. The three lenses are arranged one below the other. Next to it is the LED flash light.
The controls such as the on / off switch and the volume control are on the right-hand side, as I am actually used to. The placement on the left side of the Ulefone Note 8P irritates me a bit. The 3.5mm jack connection for headphones and the micro-USB charging socket are located on the upper edge. On the lower edge, microphone and speaker.
I think the size of the Cubot Note 7 is ideal, fits perfectly in almost every pocket and you can still clearly see the difference to a 7 inch tablet.
The first boot took a while, but it was finally finished. IMPORTANT! Before switching on for the first time, you have to remove the plastic strip between the battery and the contacts. I wanted to send the cell phone back because it wouldn't turn on. However, if you read the supplied information folder, you know what to do :)
Scrolling in the browser or in the Youtube app works quite well, but now and then you can notice a jerk. Youtube videos play smoothly, the sound from the built-in speakers is not the best, but it wasn't to be expected either.
